An app that benefits RICS staff
Create a mobile application that assists RICS members in managing and tracking their continuing development (CPD) activities.
"Working with 10 Digital has been a great pleasure, they are a very professional team and the quality of their work is outstanding.Misha Thomas Android App Project Manager
I was impressed from day one when we sat down for the first workshop, the team took the time to understand our business and what we hoped to achieve through the CPD App. Their turnaround time is fantastic, we would receive daily builds and reported issues were fixed immediately.
I’ve worked with other agencies in the past and I have to say that 10 Digital stands out from the crowd."
An early iOS version of the CPD app was already released by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, which gave us a great starting point for the look and feel they were looking to achieve.
During the UX planning stage, we worked in partnership with RICS to understand what were the journeys taken by different user types in order to add and save their CPD activities. This information fed directly into the prototype wireframes where we refined the user journeys to make it as intuitive as possible for a RICS member to login and complete their visit goal, no matter what Android phone or Tablet they used.
Once logged in, the home screen will shows a visual graph of your completed learning hours. There are also quick links to view complete planned activities or add a new activity into the planner.
Push notifications are used to encourage you to keep your CPD activity updated, and will be used to remind you the day before that a planned activity is due to take place.
The Android app is supporting 6 languages – English, Chinese (simplified), German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese – and your app will launch in one of these languages if it’s your devices default.
The end result is an app that makes it easier for RICS members log and plan their CPD hours. And following the positive feedback on the Android app, we continued working with RICS to add features like push notifications and multi-lingual support to the iOS app.
