We're Hiring a Senior Developer
This exciting new role consists of web development on live and ongoing projects.
You will be undertaking development and support work for existing and new clients, working with the existing developer team. The majority of the work will be done using .NET and Umbraco CMS. All current and recent projects will be written using Umbraco 7 and ASP.NET MVC, with older projects using a combination of Umbraco 4+, Webforms, Razor, and/or MVC.
Peer programming and code reviews will be used extensively, in order to accurately gauge skill levels, areas of interest/expertise, and measure growth.
You will be joining a team that is enthusiastic, laid back, and passionate about web development and most things tech. Topics of conversation in the office vary from gaming to the latest development in cryptocurrencies, and with a wide array of clients and projects, there will definitely be something to pique your interest!
.NET C# experience (both MVC and Web Forms) in a commercial environment (3 years or more)
API creation and integration (payment gateways, CRM's , postcode locators/validators, exposing data to third party applications)
SQL Server (including Stored Procedures, basic maintenance i.e. backing up/restoring databases, creating indexes)
Front End Frameworks (jQuery, Angular/React etc).
CMS experience (ideally Umbraco)
Source Control Management (GIT/TFS)
Exposure to other technologies (
, XSLT, mobile apps,
Familiar with Best Practices (web standards, common security issues e.g. authentication, injection, MITM attacks)
Easily recognised system deficiencies and implements effective solutions
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Clearly articulates ideas and thoughts verbally
Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging
High attention to detail, focus on providing a good user experience
Experience in client-facing situations, as the role, may require attending project meetings with clients
Drive to learn and expand skill set, both during work hours and personal time
Works well individually and in a team
